Surplus for spring
Utility fashion is a huge trend in 2016. It's fashion with a lot of function to create a clean, contemporary take on utility inspired styles. This trend will influence fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle throughout 2016. As you guys may have realized I love gender less fashion and that's exactly what this trend represents. It has a unisex feel to it when you can wear your boyfriend's oversized surplus jacket with a body hugging outfit under and you're spot on or even pair up cargo pants with some heels. The hues are usually shades of gray, khaki, taupe, navy and black. And the pieces are usually structured, with many pockets and look best layered.
To represent this look I went with a genuine suede military surplus dress (obsessed with the all the pockets on it!). I layered it with an oversized white button up shirt which can be work in so many ways, definitely recommend it as a wardrobe staple ladies. I accessorizes with military inspired over the knee boots I bought over a year ago and still love. Also with a small structured satchel in Python and orange for the perfect pop of color. Topped it off with Dior Technologic silver sunnies. Hope you ladies enjoyed this look!
